• Why I developed this project

  I've been a passionate hobby barista for several years now, trying my hand at the world of espresso. To adjust an espresso perfectly, you have to screw with different parameters. Since I often try different beans, I've developed a small application that helps me adjust the espresso with a step-by-step procedure on the one hand, and on the other, saves the perfect settings so I have them available when I buy that bean again.

• Goal: try new technologies

  I always liked the approach of Ruby on Rails to develop applications in a very short time by scaffolding and I've been looking for an equivalent for React.js for a long time. With Blitz.js I found exactly such a framework, which I could try out directly on this project. Also, I wasn't that well-versed in deploying web applications before, so I really liked getting to grips with automated deployment through GitHub Actions and Docker on this project.
